Alessandro Scarlatti Tercentenary

The Conservatorio G. B. Martini in Bologna, the Krzysztof Penderecky Academy in Krakow, the
and the Latvian Academy of Music and Theater in Riga, in collaboration with the Museo di San Colombano – Collezione Tagliavini and the Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della Musica, are organizing a Blended Intensive Program to celebrate the third centenary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti, one of the most important European composers between XVII and XVIII centuries both in the field of vocal and keyboard music.Participation is open to active participants (singers, string players, keyboardists, composers) and to all those who wish to deepen their knowledge of Alessandro Scarlatti and his time. Participants will enjoy a rich program combining musical practice and research, focusing on a composer whose presence on the stages and in the studies shows still space for improvement.
Students and teachers from European institutions can be supported by the Erasmus+ Project (BIP-short mobility): please contact your international Office for more information!
